“fleeced”?
How? Because the US has given Ukraine a mass of obsolete military junk? Even the ATACMs they just got are almost 30 years old.
And in the meantime the US has gotten invaluable real-life R&D that wouldnt be possible otherwise. The hardest thing in peacetime is anticipating what the next war will be like. Militaries tend to get solipsistic.
The dangers and opportunities of Naval drones. The first large scale (truly massive) implementation of aerial drones. The military use of Starlink and similar universal satellite internet. The next time the US has to unblock the straits of Hormuz you will thank Ukraine. Or, perhaps, if the US has to break a Chinese blockade of Taiwan.
Perspective is a difficult state to achieve.
No because we gave them billions of tax dollars and that little whack job is always demanding more.
We had our navy in the Gulf in 1991 during Desert Storm and did just fine without any help from Ukraine. The same in 2003, again, we didn’t need any Ukrainian help.
I don’t see how some ball bouncing piano playing mediocre comic is any help to us.
