See the Daily Mail article posted here, though. Trump was outpolling Biden nationally in a two person race recently. Now with Kennedy in the race, they are saying it’s dead-even. So while the spin here is that Kennedy helps Trump, the spin there is that he helps Biden. Granted, elections are decided at the state level in the swing states, but the only poll that counts is the one a year from now.

If true, we should be waving RFK, JR. flags and donating a little money.

Voters see RFK Jr. and wonder who was RFK Sr. They find out that RFK Sr. was the brother of former president JFK Jr and all 3 was/are democrats. RFK Jr. hurts Biden more than Trump if he manages to be on the ballot in critical states on November 2024.

Can he crack the debate threshold?

Trump and RFK should not participate in debates with a Democrat nominee, particularly Biden. Alternatively, Trump and RFK should debate each other and only only each other, sans traditional media moderators. Neither get a fair shake from anyone in the mainstream media. Personally, I would prefer candidates ask questions of each other and the moderator does nothing more that keep time.

The debate rules should be simple. Debate segments are divided by topics. Candidate should keep their questions on topic. There is a time limit of five minutes to respond to a question and there is a rebuttal to each question that has a time limit of five minutes. That avoids questions that are only answered by one candidate. Additionally, there should be no fact checking. Americans are smart enough to do their own fact checking. Those that don’t are not going to change their minds about anything.

Representatives from the Trump and RFK campaigns should make a joint statement at the beginning of the debate stating that the American people and media should grade the debate by the quality of questions and answers from both candidates and the primary purpose is to fully understand what both candidates would do as President.

Do it the way that Cheney and Lieberman did in 2000 with Larry King holding it together.

I was still fairly young then and naive. Wish I knew more but the government school system is designed to keep us dumb.

"And almost all of that is coming from Trump’s votes."

That's just simply not true.

IAPolls ran Trump v Biden, then immediately ran Trump v Biden v RFJjr, against the same set of battleground states.

Whereever Trump led versus Biden, he still leads with RFJKjr added, including a statistical tie with Biden in MI.

In fact, with RFKjr added, Trump advances into a statistical tie with Biden in PA.

I think the died in the wool Demorats will vote for Biden.
He goes into the race with a solid 40-45% of the total popular vote. I hope I am wrong.

"Kennedy's deep-pocketed backers and famous name, combined with a lack of broad enthusiasm for Biden and Trump, could help him take votes from their respective sides.

"Our concern about all third parties is that Donald Trump’s support is limited – he’s well below 50% - but very stable," said Matt Bennett, the co-founder of Third Way, a left-leaning political strategy firm. "Voters who would reluctantly pick Biden in a head-to-head with Trump might jump at the chance to vote for a Kennedy, even if they don’t know much about him."

“For example, The Harris Poll/HarrisX/Harvard Center for American Political Studies gave Kennedy a +25-point net favorability rating among Democrats, while Quinnipiac University put him at -26 points.”

LOL.

Baris continues to say RFK will hurt Trump in select counties, esp. in PA, among DemoKKKrats who otherwise would vote against Rutabaga.

However, lawyer Robert Barnes says these people are, for now, “parking’ their votes and will eventually trend to Trump.
