It is clear that hamas has spies within Israel, and that the IDF has some serious shortcomings. Coupled with reports that most IDF soldiers have never even fired their weapon in the field, hamas - probably with direct iranian assistance - has laid bare Israeli vulnerabilities. If I was Israeli, I'd be mad as hell.
As stated prior, the effects upon the Israeli government haven't yet been seen.
I think people are underestimated the top of the class computer hackers that work for Russia and China and Iran. I think the West, and Israel, are getting a hard less at just how vulnerable their systems actually are to pentation by the enemy
