I agree. I have a friend with two Autistic children. Her son is severely autistic and non-verbal. Her daughter is slightly better with limited verbal skills, an IQ of 93, but has horrible behavioral issues. She is extremely violent and is institutionalized. Much of what they deem as high functioning autistic today is what I always saw as the asocial, engineer personality growing up (I have lots of friends who are engineers, there is a type, personality wise).
Engineers have an IQ well above 115-120.
