The modern, strong, independent woman is a “man”, and no heterosexual man wants to date (let alone marry) a man.
By the time they reach 30 they are destined to live the rest of their lives alone, and unlike fine wine become bitter blaming men for their choice.

I saw on YouTube recently a man in the street interview done in London in 1972. The question was something like “what do you think about the woman’s lib movement? Some of the old ladies replied “it seems like they want women to be what THEY say women should be rather than what the woman may want to be. Nailed it!
