Both populations originate in the same area so it is not surprising that there is overlap.

All 7 groups were mixtures of races. The countries were not mono racial. But mixtures.
Jews did not encourage mixing races, but it happened.
Kurds were in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Turkey. Over 400,000 Jewish Kurds were extracted from those countries and went to Israel (from there to others). Turkey’s Erdogan, calls Kurds “Mountain Jews” A lot of the displacement/mixing was because of genocide and persecution.
Europe has a lot of that.
