On The Jewish Question (The actual text from a site called marxists.org.)
The fact that Karl Marx grew up in a secular home tells me all I need to know about him.
Blame Abraham and Sarah…

it looks like this “anti-semitism” has happened a lot.
Perhaps where there is smoke there is also a fire ?
The resentment comes from them being the Chosen people of God and the cultural foundation for God's Law.
Dennis Prager provided citations for the 2 origins of this assessment.
Wiki has a good article on History of Antisemitism.
"One of the earliest anti-Jewish edicts, promulgated by Antiochus Epiphanes in about 170–167 BCE, sparked a revolt of the Maccabees in Judea.
The ancient Jewish philosopher Philo of Alexandria describes an attack on Jews in Alexandria in 38 CE in which thousands of Jews died. The violence in Alexandria may have been caused by the Jews' being portrayed as misanthropic. Tcherikover argues that the reason for the hatred of Jews in the Hellenistic period was their separateness in the Greek cities, the poleis. However, Bohak has argued that early animosity against the Jews cannot be regarded as being anti-Judaic or antisemitic unless it arose from attitudes that were held against the Jews alone, because many Greeks showed animosity towards any group which they considered barbaric."
Most people who hate Jews do so because they hate God and they are envious that Jews are God’s chosen people.
How ironic that Marx accused the Jews of being money-grubbing when he espoused class warfare (I.e., money) as the driving force of history. Looks like projection to me.
Also fascinating to look at Hitler’s attack on Jews in light of them “corrupting” the “blood” of Germans. Only a “blood purge” could reclaim Germany, make it eternal. Hitler borrowed heavily from Marx.
I looked at a couple of google articles on this essay — all by academics. They do summersaults to avoid this language or to say that Marx was obviously hardcore antisemitic.
