Russians socking it to the forces of darkness...
You don’t write much funny stuff. But that made me laugh.
Putin wanted all of eastern Europe back under Russian domination. Putin demanded hegemony not only over Ukraine in Dec 2021, but over Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and the Balkan countries by demanding that NATO withdraw from them permanently. Why do you think Finland was suddenly desperate to join NATO even though they had treaties with Russia recognizing their mutual borders?
The demands, spelled out by Moscow in full for the first time, were handed over to the US this week. They include a demand that Nato remove any troops or weapons deployed to countries that entered the alliance after 1997, which would include much of eastern Europe, including Poland, the former Soviet countries of Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and the Balkan countries.

General Patton agreed but the officials in the United States government disagreed.
Pulitzer-Prize-winning Walter Duranty, of the New York Times, also disagreed.
Click-Click-Click...
Same nonsense on all channels.
Mia Sara was hot. I liked her better in Legend.
Pretty much.
There’s probably 200 channels, but they’re owned by four companies...
She should lose most of the makeup, though.
I know many Russians. They are not fans, to put it mildly. They look at him, and still see the KGB. In view of the whole world, he has had political critics poisoned to death. Why would a universally popular man need to do that? And how would a 90-percent popularity in Russia be measured without fear of repercussions?
And how about the subject states within Russia's boundaries today, whom Russia absorbed under the Czars and the Soviet Union? Are we counting them among his Russian fans, or only ethnic Russians?
The Chinese Communists win all their elections as well. But their history and conduct do not reassure.
So you admit that Russia has no more (or less) claim to be a sovereign nation than Ukraine has?
You admit that Russia's "right" to invade and annex large swaths of Ukraine is based solely upon force of arms?
You admit that Russia has no "moral high ground," and that its actions in Ukraine are based only upon military might?
Your viewpoint is refreshing! (Even though I don't share it.)
Regards,
You understood my point completely.👍
