The budget needed to hunt and kill terrorists is very small compared to the budget required to run a serious war. Kind of like buying steak for dinner versus buying a new car. If you can afford the car, you can enjoy the steak.

Israel can deal with Hamas on its own, they won't need much US aid compared to Ukraine. What they need is for Egypt, Jordan, and Syria to stay out of the way. Other than Iran, no country in the Middle East wants to be in Israel's sights right now.
