Iran has their own Manchurian Candidate Beijing Biden , and the Ventriloquist (Obama) is doing the talking.
My point in #2
Weird, you must get on FR just for an emotional release of some sort.
So you’re stating that Israel stored USA munitions with no expectation to get something out of it? Something simply doesn’t make sense-—I’m not questioning you I simply want to know what’s happening. This is NOT a coincidence.
Israel is an ally, and the middle east is where the action was expected to be, ergo having munitions co-located is a good idea.
Retreat from them? When, how? NATO has been advancing eastward since the fall of the iron curtain.
Indeed, the prospect of Ukraine becoming a NATO member is probably, rightfully perceived by Russia in about the same way as Mexico skanking around with Kaiser Bill's Germany was appreciated by the US during WW1.
Israel agreed to it. They seem cool with it.
Probably so they would already be in place if Hamas attacked Israel or something.
That’s a good reason for Israel to store its munitions in Israel. Doesn’t explain why the U.S. should store munitions in Israel.
I posted “do you see how their global dominance could be a problem before they land on our shores, and do you see how retreating from them in the world for a decade or two could result in them not having to invade us, but merely take us over or control us?”
That is still the question although you can change land on our shores to your attack us, which I assumed meant to attack us, aka, show up here in an attack against us.
You must get on FR to show off your complete lack of understanding of foreign affairs and common sense.
When we store our supplies around the world we need a secure place to do it, for example, Norway, Israel, Japan, Qatar Germany, etc.
“Sets of
equipment, such as all the tanks and wheeled vehicles of an armored brigade
combat team, are strategically prepositioned in climate controlled facilities
worldwide. This reduces deployment response times by allowing Soldiers to fly
to a theater and fall in directly on all the equipment they need to fight and win.
These stocks—identified as APS-1 (United States), APS-2 (Europe), APS-3 (Afloat), APS-4
(Northeast Asia), and APS-5 (Southwest Asia)—are available to support all combatant commanders’
missions, not only in contingencies, but also major exercises and humanitarian missions.”
According to some on this thread who I had this discussion with yesterday, the US just finds some empty lots in countries like Israel and “pre-positions” its military hardware on those lots.
The military hardware is not actually in anyone’s custody [like, say the Israeli military in this example] - it just lies around on the empty lots for whenever we show up and need it.
Nobody will mess with it, so we don’t need it guarded or locked up, or anything like that.
After all - it’s OURS. ;-)
**heavy sarcasm alert**
Can’t store it in Afghanistan.
Because they’ll let us.
He doesn't know much about the military, either.
He thinks that these "pre-positioned" armaments aren't in the custody of the host country.
They're apparently just lying around in shipping containers in random locations, unguarded.
Here is a description from 1998, there have been a lot of changes since then, most of these mention the Army but all the services maintain these storage centers where they need them.
“The Army prepositions three sets in Europe. The other four
sets are prepositioned in Kuwait, Korea, Qatar, and aboard a fleet of ships.
Other Army prepositioning efforts include operational projects and sustainment stocks stored ashore worldwide and on ships.
“with no expectation to get something out of it?”
Israel gets plenty out of the USA every single year.
These supplies belong to and are maintained by the American military, they do not belong to the nation we maintain the base in.
Cause the US is WHEREVER there is War...or possibility of...
