about 15 to 20 years ago there was a company called Evergreen Solar which has a factory in Harvard, Massachusetts on the old mothballed Fort Devens. The company received huge subsidies from the Massachusetts and federal taxpayers. The company which was headquarters in Michigan sucked money out of the taxpayers, closed the plant, and declared bankruptcy. I do not know if the company ever produced a working set of solar panels. The principals of the company were overcompensated and remain at large because the Massholean Moguls in Bozoton did not recognize that solar energy companies are little more than a scam and those companies (and other clean energy companies) cannot exist in a free market economy. They need fools to subsidize them to produce crappy products and which they foist off on conned-sumers with lies about how they will be able to make money from selling their excess energy to the grid.
