You are seeing that attitude from people who are heavily invested in the Ukraine war, and who understand that the US does not have the resources to fight two big wars.
My attitude is that we should never have been involved in Ukraine. The conflict in Israel has shown us TRUE evil.
Fortunately, Israel does not need massive funds. They just need us to tell them “Do what you need to do. We will not hold you back.”
I disagree.
Women and children killed in both conflicts.
Israel lost 700 people to the smaller Hamas. Ukraine 70,000 people to the larger Russia.
So I don't see that the war in Israel is a greater evil than that in Ukraine.
Fortunately, Israel does not need massive funds.
Some 20 years ago, the Christian Science Monitor said that the total value of all our aid to Israel, adjusted by inflation, was about $2 trillion (up to that point). It's been a lot more since then.
And that was before the financial and human cost of our war in Iraq, which Israel's lobby urged us to enter.
“ The conflict in Israel has shown us TRUE evil.”
So? There’s lots of evil in the world. The US is not in charge of the planet.
101 percent agreed. Only hours after the Israelis started their "counteroffensive" came the first voices of "proportional response" and the like. The truly functional end to this should be total surrender. Nothing less.
Ukraine is a wag the dog money grift.
48 hours and we get non stop video of a real war in Israel. Over a year and all we get from Ukraine is 1/1000th of that.
Instead it’s 60 minutes glowing reports from Keiv.
