Nothing is free. Somehow the obnoxious Taylor Swift “product placement” involves the transfer of large amounts of money to the NFL and/or the network showing the game. I also surmise her “relationship” with Travis Kelce is a fake marketing scheme — with his receiving a large payment to play along.
Maybe the NFL is making money from having more teenage girls watching the Taylor game of the week in hopes of catching a glimpse of her in the luxury suite, thus increasing ratings and ad rates. Similarly, ticket brokers are making bigger commissions from inflated resale prices. I saw that the KC at NYJ tickets went up about $100 when it was rumored she would attend the game.
