I’ve watched a few UMD games this season, actually probably every one if PSU wasn’t playing at the same time. They haven’t faced a very strong defense. tOSU will make them one dimensional and force Tagovailoa to throw the ball. That may sound like the wrong thing to do except tOSU will shut down the run and pressure Tagovailoa on passing downs using only their D-line. I think between tOSU’s pressure and confusing defensive looks that Tagovailoa will be rendered ineffective. tOSU linebackers are going to be free to dominate UMD’s receivers.
I may be wrong. I have a bias of contempt for Maryland based on a lifetime of Penn State dominating them. I admit that Maryland is improved this year, but they simply don’t have the same depth that the big three in the east have.
Maryland had Tosu on the ropes in College Park last season. They are better this year and Tosu may be a little worse (better defensively though).

My buddy and I HAMMERED the MD +4.5 1st quarter line (at my urging). I’m going to keep betting MD, and I think they win outright. Already a fun day.
I also think PSU is going to humiliate OSU in 2 weeks.
