A woman’s tears still carry some clout in our society, just not quite enough to keep her from being fired.
If this was a man, it’s more likely that bus driver would have been charged and quickly called a liar.
Some of the kids on the bus probably could have told her that was an alcoholic drink, they have seen adults in the house drinking them, but the kids may have thought she already knew it.
She must be a good driver, otherwise, having done this job for 13 years. Maybe she can get another driver job that doesn’t involve children.
