During President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to the Kingdom of Spain, an audience of the Head of State with His Majesty King Felipe VI took place in Granada.
The President expressed his gratitude to King Felipe, the Spanish royal family, and the entire Spanish nation for their unwavering support of Ukraine.
“We appreciate Spain’s assistance in Ukraine’s struggle for our shared European values, which has been provided from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor state,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He also separately acknowledged the significant humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people and the great attention given to Ukrainians who arrived in Spain while fleeing the Russian war.
His Majesty King Felipe VI expressed admiration for the Ukrainian people who are resisting Russian aggression. He said that Spain’s support for Ukraine in this struggle is grounded in the fundamental respect for the sovereignty of nations and the inadmissibility of armed aggressions.

Russia is trying to end the war due to crippling losses that their armed forces have suffered, according to President Zelensky. Russia is attempting to freeze the war, but hold the land they still have in Ukraine. Meanwhile Ukrainian forces have been fighting heavily at Verbove and inflicted high losses on the Russians in that area. Ukraine is also attacking south of Bakhmut again, and hopefully will be able to push forward in the area.
