I've used several email programs in the past. Mozilla's, Outlook, yahoo. Right now I use gmail because my late wife and I used it for so much that I had to consolidate stuff to work on an assortment of issues.
If they still work as easily I should be able to put in the SMTP settings and have the emails all imported into whichever email program. Does that still apply?
I'd like from FR folks a few suggestions that are user friendly and as insulated from leftist manipulations as one can get. Thanks.
Mozilla Thunderbird. It handles my 3 accounts easy.
Thanks FR people.
Damn.
Correct. He's looking for a CLIENT software, not a provider.
BTW I had (well, technically still have) a Proton account, but I cannot access it anymore since they revised the user interface and failed to consider that some of us still run laptops with the last STABLE operating system i.e. Windows XP. They were monumentally arrogant about it, too, as only the Swiss can be.
I'm still running Thunderbird. Have pretty near 20 years of email history archived in it, and won't change until you pry my laptop from my cold, dead hands.
ProtonMail has a limited free service, but to get the full benefit you will also pay a monthly fee.
Sheesh...did NOT know that
Any time!
Brave browser is what I use. I am quite satisfied.
Thanks! I had no idea.
My sister years Reagan.com. It isn’t free, but she likes it.
I’m kind of surprised that they haven’t scrubbed that yet. But then they always have liked to brag about the evil they are in the process of doing.
I’ve always been suspicious of people who claim their web service, or whatever, ensures privacy, unbreakable encryption, won’t cooperate with government(s) without warrants, no ‘backdoor access’ etc. I always figure that they are trying to attract people with something to hide that they can take advantage of sometime.
In a way, I respect Gmail, Google web services in general and the like, because you know upfront that they are going to data-mine the heck out of you and try to turn a profit on your activities.
Ditto. However, you have to use it regualarly or they will stop the program and you may lose your saved emails.
