Mine was somewhere around 100lbs . Big for here. It just did not want to stay down.I had to leave it where it was. When I came back that way a few weeks later there was only a greasy spot on the ground . Its mates are it, even the bones . Don’t become disabled in hog infested woods...

I have shot dozens of wild pigs.

From piglets to huge boars.

My two favorite arms to do so are my 44mag and a 30-06 scout rifle loaded with 220gr RN.

But I have shot them with rifles up to the 460
Weatherby mag.

I like eating them I prefer 150lb ones or smaller.

Got feral hogs around here. We never walk our trails or to the mailbox (1/2 mile) without a sidearm. Hopefully that would slow em down or scare them off.

I think if the sarcasm is quite obvious, the /s is not needed.

Definitely left out the “/s” However, I’ve heard the exact same type of drivel from those on the left, even politicians, and of course their loyal media mouthpieces.

I live on several acres in a very rural area. I take my pistol with me even if stepping down to the edge of the woods to work in my flower beds. A wild dog or even rabid fox is not unheard of in our area. I’d rather be prepared for one to appear even if the chance is small.

You can shoot them in Georgia 24/7/365 also. 😉

So what do you think of it taking 3 ends of .357mag to put one down?
Maybe the 3rnd ( close) was better placement . There was a moment , as I recall that I didn’t think it was going to do it . Hand went to my Bowie knife....

I have seen a lot of big game animals with their heart and lungs turned into mush.

Still travel around a hundred yards.

Shot placement is king.
