Urban battery-powered buses make a lot of sense. We rode one in Banff, Alberta a couple weeks ago and it had the acceleration and quietness of those old San Francisco buses. The best thing was you could sit at outdoor cafes and restaurants and not have to endure diesel fumes and the huge noise from diesel engines. Here is one of the Banff buses disguised in urban camo...
It's cleaner. So that's good. The problem is that the batteries on electric buses are not going to last a long time. I assume 5-8 years. Then how do you replace the batteries. This is government we're talking about. With diesel buses, you can get 20 years out of them.

I don’t either but government shouldn’t be involved in stuff like this…leave it to the free market. But that won’t happen
