War story: When the KC-135s returned from TDY in Alaska the air conditioning “belly bays” were often filled with boxes of king crab. One had to be verrrrry careful when latching the bay doors - one misstep (and a less than smooth touchdown) would send 1,000# of crab spewing all over the runway.

War story II: When our KC-135s returned from TDY from Altus or Tinker back to Malmstrom the belly bays were used for a Coors run.

We were very popular on those runs in the 70's. Ice cold right off the plane.
