OK, this is more of a WHAT update. I will try to get more on the WHY tomorrow.
Item One:
The collapse of EverGrande is having a Domino Effect on the PRC Real Estate sector. The problem is far more than just several real estate developers failing. Real Estate drives 30-40 other significant sections of the PRC economy. Because Real Estate is such an outsized portion of their economy anything affecting it will have major knock-on effects for good or ill.
Item Two:
Last week it was announced that a quasi-military police force, The People's Armed Forces Department, was forming up starting with the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Chengdu, the five largest cities in the PRC. The thinking is that civil unrest is coming and this force is being created to deal with it when it occurs.
Item Three:
At a CCP National Day Banquet, a very stern faced member of Xi Jinping's security detail was providing him with personal services such as handing him glasses of wine or fruit juice and never more than a few feet from Xi. None of the other members of the Politburo received such service/ security.
Item Four:
Postings of "Xi Jinping's Eighteen Hell Crime Records" have appeared on the websites of many Chinese Military Institutions. The Hell Crimes run from CCP corruption to hiding the origins of COVID to harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners while they were still alive. One posting on a non-government website would be interesting enough. That multiple postings of the same information on multiple military related websites is VERY interesting.
