“Ukraine launched the “I Want to Live” Project in September 2022 to encourage, enable, and empower Russian military personnel to surrender to Ukrainian armed forces. Beyond communicating with Russian soldiers on where and how to surrender, the Ukrainian military has employed drones to guide Russians attempting to surrender.” EXCERPT

Moscow circus in Moskva three times over the years.
Many many Orthodox churches from Arkhangelsk to Rostov on Don.
Entered the Orthodox church officially 25 yrs ago at a Russian cathedral in Seattle.
Been to the Black Sea and Tbilisi.
To the border of Ukraine during one of the Chechen wars
with a gun carrying guard.
Lived in Rostov on Don with a newly adopted child (number four) for weeks as required by the court.
Went all over the city. By then my Russian was very good
and I was completely comfortable there.
You Freepers with your “I know someone in Russia or Ukraine” absolutely kill me.
I took three of my kids to a black tie dinner at the Russian embassy in DC where my adopted son - age ten - spoke at the podium and took down the house.
Had the most amazing caviar. There was a fantastic balaika band playing in the hall.
Buncha armchair slavs. Posting here like you get Russia.
And you know **nothing** about Russia.
“You know nothing about Russia.”
Wrong. Best not to judge me.
Exciting times for sure! How many children did you adopt? from which Oblast? or Krais?
“You Freepers with your “I know someone in Russia or Ukraine” absolutely kill me.”
You really should not ridicule.
I have traveled also, lived and have adopted in Russia.
Two of my Russian ‘children’ are now engaged to be married to Russian-to-be-spouses! I share this so hopefully you will be more careful with your comments.
Last one was baby house number 3. Rostov on Don. She was three and did not speak. The adoption people gave me roses at the airport when we arrived. We adopted children no one else wanted.
First one was from Arkhangelsk. No name. She was 6.
Unable to wear shoes as her ankles were wrong.
Eventually she had 7 hours of surgery at Children’s in Seattle by the head of orthopedics.
They had to design a surgery because they had never seen anything like that before.
She has a spinal cord disease which made her feet paralyzed.
So all those years the ankle bones grew all funky.
My husband used to take her to the park while waiting on adoption bureaucracy. She told them all about him being her papa from America.
Russian babas brought food, gifts, toys, every evening to the flat.
Russians, esp outside of Moskva, are the kindest people in the world. And I have seen a great deal of the world.
The last one is a long story..
So you have Russian family but post here celebrating the death of Russians.
You are truly disgusting. Christ weeps over you.
The adoption coordinators do greet you at the airport with flowers. I love the rural banya! The steaming water was scented from gathered herbs/oils from the woods.
The judge told us she was afraid we would adopt the whole village. LOL
Amazing, that you would choose to support Putin and my Russian & Ukrainian family & friends are totally against this Russian invasion.
I do identify with the Russian culture but not the politics as my Grandfather & his parents, and siblings escaped from Russia. When they came to N.Y., my grandfather refused to speak Russian & said to his mother “I am an American.”
So, please remember this conversation. No one likes to be ridiculed. You have your opinions and I have mine. In the U.S., both of us are blessed to share freedom of thought and expression without being persecuted. Hopefully, Free Republic will regain its footing and stop the .
“celebrating the death of Russians?”
You are wrong. I pray for Putin to withdraw his toops and stop the invasion. I pray for the slaughter by Putin of both the Russian and Ukrainian military as well as the Ukrainian civilians. I pray for those that are persecuted for protesting, jailed, killed by the FSB, FAPSI, and FPS.
Sadly, you cannot stop demeaning others. Yes, truly Christ weeps.

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the five hundred eighty second day of the war.
Day 582: Sep 28
Today, there is a lot of news from the Vuhledar direction.
As you remember, Russian forces conducted multiple unsuccessful offensive operations in this region that quickly became the most notorious graveyards of the Russian tanks. It seems like the Russians gave up on trying to take Vuhledar by storm from the south, which is why the main clashes slowly moved to the north toward Novomykhailivka.
The main idea is to penetrate the Ukrainian defenses through the fields, establish a stable bridgehead between Vuhledar and Marinka, and then strike both groups from the flanks.
The Russian High Command also puts a lot of hope in this operation because if it is successful, Russians would be able to retake the initiative, forcing Ukrainians to cancel their counteroffensive and urgently redeploy forces to plug the hole in the front line.
However, so far, the Russians progress here is negative – after months of continuous Russian strikes and assaults, Russians have lost one field in the aftermath of a Ukrainian counterattack back in August. That is why Russians were forced to develop a new tactic.
Recently released footage by Russian sources shows how Russians started launching kamikaze tanks through the fields. And this is not the first time Russians have used kamikaze tanks.
Previously, after facing insurmountable resistance by the Ukrainian troops in the tree line, Russians loaded their tank with tons of explosives, the driver directed it toward the Ukrainian position and jumped off the vehicle, the tank got immobilized by a mine and exploded in the field.
Today, Russians demonstrated how they improved their suicide tactic. Now, before launching the kamikaze tank, Russians conducted a de-mining operation under Ukrainian fire, where one Russian tank would clear the path at least through the proximate to the Russians field. Next, Russians brought in one of their tanks filled with tons of explosives and safely escorted it with another tank to the death zone.
Once the tanks entered the death zone, the Russian crew prudently jumped out of the tank onto the minefield and tried to escape under artillery and mortar fire while the kamikaze tank continued its movement. Finally, the tank once again was immobilized by a mine and exploded even further from the Ukrainian positions than previously.
What is interesting is that Russian sources claimed that it was not an assault but a de-mining operation, where Russians used a useless tank that they captured from Ukrainians anyway to de-mine the field. Military analysts pointed out that Russians should have a more effective tool for this purpose – UR-77 “Meteorite” – so, the goal of the operation was likely the same as the last time – to blow up the Ukrainian fortification – and it once again failed.
Such an inefficient expenditure of heavy equipment has a significant impact on the combat capability of the Russian forces that are fighting in this region. Recently released footage also shows hundreds of damaged pieces of equipment that are being relocated away from the front. As can be seen, the damage that the Russian BMD-2 vehicles incurred in most cases is substantial, so the repair will take a lot of time, and the Russian mechanized and motorized detachments will not be replenished for a long time.
By the way, it seems like very recently, the Russian high command lost faith in the commanders of detachments in and around Donetsk, and with no prospect of moving forward and establishing a sufficient buffer zone between the Ukrainian positions and the railways that connect Donetsk and Volnovakha, Russians started building another railway connection, 30 km away from the front. The construction has already commenced, and it is estimated to take at least half a year if everything goes smoothly.
Unfortunately for Russians, the whole length of the planned new railway connection is within HIMARS range, so the construction workers of the railroad will likely find themselves exactly in the same situation as the construction workers on the Antonivskyi Bridge near Kherson last year, making one step forward and two steps back every week.
Ukrainian Intelligence and reconnaissance are already monitoring the development of each construction site.

Why is Youcraynian blather in your tagline? Why is it not in English? Are you Youycraynian?
I just translated it into English using my YSL (Youcraynian As a Second Language) skills and this is what it says: The gay dance is Zelenskyyy™ who bablunka men with his little penoskyskra and steal money from US taxpayersky while clappingsky for Hunka Nazi boyski. Slavo U Crayknee!!!™.
I guarantee you that if this guy was Russian, the Youkazoidal sociopaths here would be cheering, their voices at a fever pitch in celebration of this young man's mutilation.
Patience, my friend! The Great Glorious Victorious Youcrayne Spring Summer Fall Winter Halloween Black Friday Kwanzaa Offensive™ will be in full swing once the Ghost Of Chicken Kiev's fighter plane is repaired. My confidential sources say that will be soon.
Here is a picture of the Glorious Gay-Dancing Hero™ testing out his new engine. Slavo Youcraynee!!
The behavior of Kadyrov’s 15 year old son could have interesting implications regarding the future of Chechen/Putin relations, or it could just be the out of control behavior of a teen ager. At any rate I imaging some behavioral psychologists will be working on this as they also try to find out what has become of Kadyrov.
Here's one of them, who happens to be the toast of the leftist/globalist/pedo "elite."
