from what I can tell a Ukr (sniper possibly as the Russ picks up a scoped rifle) is wounded. The Russ with the LMG takes him prisoner and gives him…? morphine? As they are struggling back Ukr mortars shamefully take them under fire (perhaps they can’t tell who they are) but eventually he is carried to the rear. I would point out many countries have summarily executed snipers in the past like the Red Army in WW2…also ALL German MG-42 gunners, lot of people don’t realize how blood thirsty the Red Army was.

I think it a matter of individuals, all the while discussions target nations and governments. In this case, it seems a considerate act in the middle of a horror. Such, on any side, suggests that our world slowly develops a moral compass which is interpersonal and not reliant on ideologies. May this broaden and deepen. In spite of governments, plural.
