I had this discussion with my brother who said he's not a sinner. His wife, listening in to the conversation, said, "Not a sinner? Like when you lied to me about when you got drunk at the office party and made out with your co-worker (a female)."

When anyone thinks they are sinless, you have to wonder if they are being "self-accountable."

But the whole point is to be self responsible and self accountable in the first place before the fact. Then you can rightfully say you have nothing to be forgiven for. To admit a wrong if you have not committed a wrong is a lie and a sin in it’s self.

So just be self responsible and don’t do anything wrong in the first place and then you do not need the get out of jail free card. The “knowing” you will be forgiven opens the door to doing wrong because you know you can indeed repair it after the fact.

So for this reason alone people do...
