Isn’t life a wonderful journey?
I’m almost 70 and I find if I average 9,000 steps a day my hip starts to get a little sore. Instead I try and do 8,500 - 9,000 a day for 6 days and than I take an easy day on Sunday where I only do 3,500 - 4,000 for a weekly average of 8,000 - 8,200. Better for preserving the hips.
I use both a phone app for my steps but I also use an Oura Smart ring that monitors my heart rate, O2 levels, temperature and sleep cycle. Cutting back slightly from 9,000 to a 8,000 average has been beneficial for me personally.
