I heard a lot of stories from my FIL’s nurses - especially the hospice nurses. One said there was an “epidemic” of new, younger age onset, fast progressing dementia.

My brother works for his state's department of Veteran Affairs.

He told me that he's seen a sharp rise in dementia cases in the past couple of years, to the point where "it seems like every other veteran I see is a dementia patient". Most of the people he sees are in their 70s.
