OJ was so dejected about his financial state of affairs that he sat down in the middle of I-15 blocking traffic vowing to set himself on fire unless someone raised $50,000 to make him solvent again.
A sympathetic motorist said he would see what he could do to get pledges from everyone waiting in traffic for the scene to clear.
He came back an hour later shaking his head. "How much did you get in pledges?," asked OJ. "23 gallons," was the reply.
