Interesting thoughts, and I think accurate. Add to that the ever-trending to the left of the universities training them, you have a propaganda machine.
An example of 'elite journalists being out of touch'?
The 'oh so concerned press bimbos and pretentious 'men' are worried about food packages getting smaller in response to inflation.
Because these people have never had to stretch a food budget they don't understand the food folks are doing us (ordinary people) a favor. Why? Because if we have to feed a family we can't spend $10 dollars on a single box of cereal. We need them to bring the packages down to size so we can afford a pound of over priced hamburger and some chicken with our milk and eggs.
During the worst of it stores that sold eggs were putting them in smaller packages of 6 eggs. They weren't trying to 'trick' shoppers into thinking there were still a dozen eggs in the carton - but to allow people to buy a smaller amount. (a two egg breakfast becomes a one egg scrambled breakfast instead - - to stay within budget)
Everyone who lives on a budget knows this but the 'elties' get on their high horses to 'defend the working class' from being tricked because they're totally out of touch with most Americans. We're NOT being tricked. Food companies are helping us out.
And yeah, 'journalism schools' are a nightmare. They say, "give us your 'elites - your privileged offspring' and we'll teach them to write beautifully about stuff that makes no sense to anyone below the 12% of the people who identify as 'liberal elties'...
I could go on and on and on and on ...(OK, I did go on and on and on...) but you get the idea.
