Last week I was in Palm springs and I saw a beautiful new BMW convertible. I said to my friend, you know, if I had that car I would not use it as my daily driver. It would be something for going downtown the golf course, rides in the evening to the theater or restaurants. Stuff like that.
In other words, I wouldn’t put many miles on it. So I said to him, if I was going to spend that kind of money I would put it into a fully restored 1959 Cadillac convertible or 1964 Lincoln Continental convertible. Or maybe I could have one of each. A lot smoother ride and a lot more of a head turner. And a lot simpler to keep running! 🤣
Kind of my thoughts on the matter. I have an ‘also” concern. I lose keys and when I get a bike or a car I immediately get 3-5 copies of the keys made. That is much more of a hassle with electronically enhanced ignition keys and far more expensive. Won’t have a car that needs those.
