Tibet? Aside from paying lip service to its lost sovereignty, we have done nothing to aid them against the Chinese. Our compromised President is reluctant to confront our competitor, China about anything. What did we do about the premature takeover of Hong Kong? What price has China paid for releasing the Wuhan virus on the world?
Our proxy war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan proved to be a Pyrrhic victory. It energized and armed the Islamic Fundamentalist movement that gave us AQ, bin Laden, unrest in the Middle East, 9/11, ISIS, and a 20 year US presence in Afghanistan costing trillions of dollars and tens of thousands of dead and wounded culminating in an ignominious defeat and an embarrassing exit that left Americans and loyal Afghans behind. We are still living with that legacy in Iraq and Syria.
