You know I still believe kids are still kids. After that post I did about the kids walking out of school in Philly over this trans stuff it’s well known the majority of kids today are not down with this and it’s just pushed on them.

With that said, I think the kids are just punking him. This is sort of a “Carrie White” thing. I’m sure they are laughing at him behind his back saying “Look at the faggot up there”. They don’t even have to dump blood on him like they did to Carrie White, he’s done it to himself.

My honest guess is that this was a joke vote. Most students think the "homecoming" royalty honor is just a silly tradition that is cherished mostly by the social elite students (at least that was my experience and others' growing up.) The run-of-the-mill students have more important things to worry about.

Our freshman spirit organzation president in college was a really nerdy, "Pedro" type guy who no one took seriously, but we voted for him because the other announced candidates were so full of themselves. Not because we were enamored with him.

How does this happen?

The students that vote for this are just giving the finger to authority and norms. Most really do not care about the transgendered movement but do enjoy making chaos. That is what youth have done since history was written. When that same set of youths hit the Vietnam rice paddies they came back different. Some were better for it, and some worse but none came back the same. Some came back with a flag over their coffin.

Sad. This is a person (and all men and women/kids are) are people who need genuine mental help to be ok in their own bodies, not affirmation of their mental illness.

Some day the people who encouraged this will be regarded as horrible people, on the same level as any other enabler of someone with a serious problem.
