I was in Alaska recently and I learned about the importance of ebb tide - as native Alaskans prepare to feast on the low tide's "table" and eat all the excellent seafood that becomes available.
I ate such delicacies every day!
It is good when the tide is out.

Don't forget the blubber! Nothing is better than coming home after a hard day's work than to be greeted by a bowl of hot steaming blubber. Mmm mmm good.

Ocean acidification is caused when carbon dioxide emissions get absorbed by the ocean, changing its chemistry. Boy, that article ended abruptly.

Is that a reference to the ebb tide being out? ;>))
Sounds like an opportune time for a low tide feast.

We used to go to a bar called the Bore Tide between Anchorage and Girdwood. Interesting watching the water in the Inlet there.
And the Bird House.
That bar also was a polling place.
