Exactly ! For decades they were able to demand iberalism while their affluent enclaves were protected by extra police etc.
But now, the police have mostly withdrawn, and these gun free liberals are the richest and weakest targets available.

That exact dynamic is happening right now in the neighborhood in Los Angeles that we left three years ago for Texas.
They were OK through the covid, had the BLM “In this house we believe” signs, actually protested the local police station “ACAB”, “F12” etc.
Now there’s a rash of burglaries, thefts, and last week a “hot prowl” burglary AKA a home invasion.
Not happy to hear any of that, but I am not surprised in the slightest.
