I can't speak for all the anti-Ukrainian war posters here. But there is a clear contingent on FR who pretend this is about not getting involved in a foreign war yet tend to justify everything Russia does. Make no mistake Russia does have a policy of trying to influence people over the internet and that there are some of their operatives here. The same people who will (rightly) complain about the Western bias in our news will post Russian sources without batting an eye.

I'm totally against foreign intervention considering the toll it's taken on our soldiers and their families for the past 60 years.

8 years of direct intervention in vietnam:

58,220 US soldiers were killed

150,000 were wounded, many permanently disabled.

1,600 missing in action...............

8 years direct intervention in Iraq:

4,492 US soldiers were killed

32,292 were wounded, many permanently disabled..

20 years of war in Afghanistan:

2,402 US soldiers were killed

20,713 US soldiers were wounded, many permanently disabled.

We have destroyed hundreds of thousands of American lives and their families, and spent untold hundreds of billions of dollars in being the "Global Policeman" and you find that acceptable?

We have no business being involved in the Russia/Ukraine war considering the price this country has paid in the past for being the "Global Policeman".......

everyone needs to realize that whatever social media platform you are on there are agents of foreign governments on that platform who's purpose is to represent the interest of their country. years ago free republic did not get very much of this but today I would guess that there are several agents for both China and Russia on here along with several other smaller nations.
