At the end of every season the fans of 31 out of 32 NFL teams spend at least a bit of January and February, perhaps months, somehere between pi$$ed off and clinically depressed. About something which has no direct effect on their lives and over which they have no influence or control.

But devout fans do believe they have some control by cheering for their teem from the stands or at home or in a bar or at an at home watch party. Fans think they can put a little English on the ball for their team. Ya gotta believe! Like at church. They sure do.

And for sure, mass rabid cheering in stadiums can bring down the visiting team.
