They simply solidified the areas dominated by Russian Nationals that voted to become part of Russia which Ukraine is still attempting to ethnically cleanse.

Approximately 20% of Ukraine which is basically all the Russian speaking areas are controlled by Russia and have been for over a year, that doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon, despite a much hyped counteroffensive.
Personally, I don’t care at all for either country, other than it’s a losing situation for the USA.

What an interesting question. It is probably apt for the pro-Z and pro-P types, but the "not my circus and not my clown" contingent sees a completely different context to the whole mess. One which your "tar baby" question simply does not lure in.
