Oh dear.. sorry. (I’m laughing with you) I gave some to my hubs once and about 5 min later, called me from the car yelling at me that he was ON FIRE!!! He won’t take it.

Have you looked at Enduracin? It’s wax coated and prevents the flush. That book on niacin suggests it.

Maybe wait til winter when you get lay in the snow??

Enduracin is flush Niacin.
But because it is delayed release you should not take more than 500 MG of it.
The constant slow release will keep the liver from reacting properly if you get too much for your liver.

Snow slide -

Maybe wait til winter when you get lay in the snow??

Lay in the snow - that’s funny! You’ll relate to this story - when I was quickly shovelling my back deck in December 2020 in shorts and a t-shirt, as all respectable Canadians do from time to time, I slipped and broke my wrist. I had been on the treadmill and figured I could do the 5 minute chore quickly before heading to the shower, but I was moving too fast in inappropriate footwear for the occasion. The wave of nausea that came over me caused me to lay in the snow for several minutes before the pain and nausea subsided to a point where I could get up. Then I was soaking wet, so I changed my clothes (with great difficulty), and went back to my desk where I persevered through the second half of an online bridge tournament before going to the hospital. I know well the benefits of laying in the snow for instant pain relief.

I will persevere with the niacin with the expectation that the flush will diminish with continued use. It isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever suffered through and was even interesting. I didn’t know my body could generate that kind of heat! I’m pretty sure I burned off a fair amount of bad microbes that were living in and on me in those 20 minutes.

“The best example of that is all the people who truly believed the vax was a good thing and would protect them and others. “

They might not be engaged in prevarication, but I’m sure a lot of them believe gullible isn’t in the dictionary when they’re informed of same…
