The truth is still out there.
NASA announced Thursday that it has appointed its first-ever director of UFOs, stressing that they’ve yet to find proof of alien spacecraft — while conceding they still have no idea what the mysterious objects actually are.
The space agency released the findings of a yearlong independent study in UFOs Thursday in a 33-page report and cautioned that the negative perception surrounding UFOs has long hindered their ability to collect data.
“The top takeaway from the study is that there is a lot more to learn,” NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said of UAPs, or “unidentified anomalous phenomenon.”
“The NASA independent study team did not find any evidence that UAP have an extraterrestrial origin.
“But we don’t know what these UAP are,” he said.
“The mission of NASA is to find out the unknown … Whatever we find, we’re going to tell you.”
The space agency’s chief said he wanted to shift the conversation on UAPs — the new term replacing UFOs — “from sensationalism to science.”
That sensationalism is so extreme it kept the agency from identifying its new director of UAP research.

The term “flying saucer” dated back to the 1947 sighting by Kenneth Arnold. He saw unusual craft flying near Mt. Rainier in Washington state and contacted the local media. He described their motion as being like saucers on water. It was the reporters who called them “flying saucers” and the name stuck.
This article has some more detail:

Any advanced alien species would have mastered nanotechnology and therefore would be able to disguise data collecting avatars as molecules within any environment.
They could collect any information they want any time they want.
NASA could be hip deep in the alien avatars and not know anything about it.
So "unidentified" means "unidentified." Who knew?
“It was fly ink, I saw, sir.”
Really?
Hahah. Perfect description.
I'm afraid you are incorrect. At least, so far.
The Department of Defense already has an office to solve the mystery of UFOs. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) has done nothing but stall, obfuscate, slam doors and lock files, discredit whistleblowers, and refuse to cooperate with anyone, including Congress.
Civilians investigating UFOs have almost unanimously concluded that nothing will be forthcoming from the government on the subject of UFOs.
That's what makes the accusation of "distraction" so lazy. The government has done nothing but lie about and cover-up what they know for over 70 years.
But then, after getting with the program (or being slapped down by the USAF), he clammed up.

It’s all a matter of timing. They’re waiting for yet one more scaring of the public into global government.
The dodging and obfuscating, then sending out a fake “whistleblower” on this, is just keeping the ploy alive and plumped for its eventual full use.
If their infrared trackers are locking on shouldn’t a sidewinder missile as well?
Whatever we find, we’re going to tell you.

Uh huh. Sort of like they turned the color calibrated monitor on the first Mars landing up to maximum red so the blue skies and green algae would disappear?
Or like when the ground off what looked like a fossil to see what was inside a rock?
Or like all the mis-catalogued, missing, destroyed, altered Apollo Hasselbad images?
Or like showing us 10th or 15th generation images while claiming they are as good as the originals?
ETC.
That trip never happened - they have always been here.
That's the extreme opposite of Ockham's Razor.
It's much more likely that the government is covering something up. Something big...and real.
It is quite difficult to identify something that doesn’t actually exist.
They say that weed has much more THC then the older stuff NASA must have gat a big load of it.
Ya man I seen it too
Then I’ll go with that. Makes much more sense.
Ah, no.
And that’s not how the government works.
That would explain why they have threatened whistleblowers with harm. And from what the whistleblowers are saying, these threats of harm are not just threats...the government has indeed harmed, perhaps even murdered, some whistleblowers.
What’s this? We’ve directors now? Where are our Czars?
Czars among the stars. That’s the ticket.
Why do these UFOs have lights? WTP often wonder about that.
No better way to read a map?
They’ve already got to you with their propaganda and you just can’t not believe.
Have you seen their declassified doc from the 50s where they talked about making up some lie about flying saucers or sextuplets in a remote country to distract the public?
