Nearly 20,000 consumers lost power in 6 regions overnight due to shelling, trains were delayed in Zakarpattia region due to substation outage

Power generation

Electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers.

Power engineers continue to prepare the power system for the heating season, which will take place in the face of russian attacks. A large-scale repair campaign is underway at thermal, hydro and nuclear generation facilities.

Situation in the frontline regions

Enemy terror continues in the frontline and border regions with russia. In Kharkiv region, a 110 kV overhead line was cut off due to shelling, leaving 9,000 consumers without electricity. In Donetsk region, five 35 kV lines and five 35 kV substations were shut down due to hostile shelling, which resulted in a power outage for almost 8,000 customers in 17 settlements. The power was partially restored the same day, but repairs are ongoing, and power engineers are working under the constant threat of new shelling.

Another 3,000 customers were cut off from power overnight due to shelling in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Repair crews are working where the security situation allows.

Situation in the regions

A 110 kV overhead line was disconnected in the Zakarpattia region. As a result, the 110 kV substation that supplies a unit of Ukrzaliznytsia was shut down, causing disruption to train traffic.

Consequences of the Kakhovka HPP dam blow-up

About 8,000 consumers in Kherson remain without power. Power engineers are working to restore power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.

Situation at the ZNPP

A slight decrease in the water level in the ZNPP cooling pond is recorded. It is currently at 15.96 metres. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant.

Exports/imports

Commercial electricity imports over the past day totalled 250.00 MWh. Exports to Slovakia amounted to 2,368.00 MWh, and to Moldova – 1,970.00 MWh.
