I thought the story was that Hunter called his father to "sell the brand" and impress them when Joe picked up.
Now the White House is saying that they said all along that it was Joe who called Hunter, and it was just coincidental that Hunter happened to be in business meetings with foreign business leaders and dignitaries each time?
Devon Archer told the House Oversight Committee in testimony this summer that Hunter had put his father on speakerphone during business meetings about 20 times.
Notice how clever they are with their wording to avoid the verb of who called whom? It's passively written that Hunter put Joe on the speakerphone, as if Hunter was always by a speakerphone when Joe called and never excused himself from the meeting to say he's checking on his dad because his brother had died.
Who shares their daily grief over a dead son and brother on a speakerphone with foreign strangers 20 times?
