What struck me was that the camera was focused on the burning tower while Matt Lauer was talking and you could see the second plane way off in the distance -- a tiny dot, really.
As the NBC commentators kept talking, the plane kept getting closer and closer. At that point I began to suspect that the second plane was going to hit the building too, because I would have thought that air traffic control would have shut down the NYC airspace after the first collision. The fact that this plane was still flying meant, to me, that it was not following ATC instructions.
That's what I recall, anyway.

You’re spot on.
They did not miss.
They were aiming the wing into the building to deliver the fuel load. That made fuel penetrate the building further.
Someone engineered the attack for maximum results.
They tried before, on the elevator shaft. Remember.
I will not tell you what I told my wife when she saw the first plane hit the building. In the past when I told people here some called me a liar. But I am not.
Thank you for linking this.
I’ve said what I think 1000 times. Read my posting history.
I remember a comment I made to a relative who lived on Manhattan, who mentioned those who had died on that day.
I said, “a lot more will die before this is over”. Sadly, I was right.
“The plane disappears into the building and no debris sliding down the side of the building.”
The plane was going upwards of 400mph, it disintegrated upon impact. There’s all kinds of fine debris raining down the side of the building. It wasn’t going to be like Wile E. Coyote smacking against a canyon wall and sliding down into a heap.
Re: 27 - There’s quite a few conspiracy theorists, some ignorant, some low intellect, some malicious.
They can’t argue the NIST reports, the simulations, etc. What they provide are speculation, whispers, conjecture. Why? That’s all they have.
If it disintegrated on impact how did it penetrate the building and start a fire hot enough to melt steel? See how that theory doesn’t work either?
I was at the Kansas City airport waiting for my flight to go to Washington Reagan airport. The news commentator said it was a small plane that crashed into the world trade center before it was corrected. So you heard it right at the time it happened
At 500 MPH or so the plane is not hitting a SOLID wall of steel. The mass of the plane drives into and cuts through the external framework and most of the the fuselage and wings is driven through the opening.
If you are interested here is a computer visualization showing the damage from the airplane strike on the building frame:
U Purdue Computer visualization of 9/11 strike
Here is information posted here on F/R on a number of things including the effect of heat on steel over time. (It deforms and loses strength and sags.)
Pete I appreciate your earnestness but sadly what we all witnessed on 911 was more than likely Project Blue Beam which created holographic images of planes striking the towers as explosives were detonated.
Just for the sake of curiosity you and other Freepers might want to watch today’s podcast of And We Know on Rumble. Its hard to accept that your own govt killed 3,000 people so that they could go into Iraq and take control of the oil, pass the Patriot Act and bring us all closer to a one world govt of socialism/totalitarianism. Its just easier to believe it was 9 dumbazz muslims that flew commercial airliners like F16’s.
18 Views of Plane Impact in South Tower
Also an extended view of video taken by Cynthia Wells: I started at about the time of the 2nd strike. There is sound and you can hear the plan approaching and then the sound of impact. I do not see demolition explosives producing the explosion that follows the strike. This is a fuel/air explosion.
(Laying aside this history and returning to our current interesting times.)
Pete planes don’t slice through buildings and eject out the other side. I have stated this numerous times. They are constructed of aluminum. My husband used to build these planes for Boeing in Seattle. He also worked on AF1. And he was a multi engine rated pilot up to a 737.
Have you ever seen the damage a goose strike does to the nose of an airliner? If a forklift even taps a wing there is severe damage. These towers were advertised as the strongest buildings ever constructed.
I think there is what we saw and then what we really saw. Looking at it without emotion and with a critical eye what we saw were explosions.
Millions of people now believe that 911 was not a Muslim terrorist attack. I am one of them. You will have to make up your own mind. But I doubt that anyone who knows airplane construction will tell you airliners can slice through a reinforced steel building. But a holographic image can make it look that way.
I have no problem imagining that people in the U.S. Government might kill their own citizens. They have done this before.
(Wait! Only 2 pilots!)
If a hologram, why did they find plane parts?
Hundreds of airplane fragments
(Off to my garden!)
Huh? The only things that “rejected out the other side” were the engines, made of titanium and nickel alloys, and the landing gear, made of steel.
*ejected
As Mr. GG2 always says why weren’t all the engines of the planes lying in the street? They would not have disintigrated.
Its just too bad 3,000 people died.
“But a holographic image can make it look that way.”
This is sick. I knew and worked with people who were killed and injured, many others had to run for their lives. The people I talked to that survived heard and felt the impact.
The NIST reports and data including simulations are available. So are reports from some engineering schools.
The idea that what tens/hundreds of thousands of people saw hitting the WTC structures were holograms is part of a fringe conspiracy theory that has no basis in fact. There is no detailed report available that can be subjected to scrutiny.
Unsourced and speculative. But it’s par for the course for some posters.
