They really screwed up with that “Food Pyramid” in 1974. That was right when monetary inflation really took off, and at the same time, an oil embargo and oil price shocks. Groceries prices went off the charts. Meat, cheese, eggs, dairy etc.

Good quality animal protein is essential to health, and a lot of people since then have been trying to fill up on carbs. Snacks and pogue bait, chips and soda. As anyone who has tried to lose weight will tell you, a bunch of empty carbs just leads to more “hunger”. Rice and Potatoes and Pasta, Wheat, all those things are fine in limited amounts.

Another “Captain Obvious” study...sure, reduce carbs. carbs=sugar. In this case, by replacing carbs with protein and it will help your blood sugar.
