Visibly armed gun owners on Sunday afternoon courageously walked around Old Town, Albuquerque proudly displaying their firearms in defiance of Governor Grisham’s unconstitutional gun grab.
People gathered around with their firearms while holding American flags and Gadsden flags. The gun owners spoke out against the governor’s order.
According to Ford Fischer, a reporter on the scene, there was no police intervention.
Police did not enforce a $5,000 fine for violators.

There were no law enforcement of any flavor there. I think they want nothing to do with this. Their job isn’t to safeguard the Governor’s ego. Most of them despise her.

My friends in NM tell me that New Mexicans are plagued worse with gun nuttery than Texans are. I don’t think the FBI can count on a DC like jury pool. They would even have issues in Santa Fe, I think.

My friends are just fine. They certainly have one thing you lack - a sense of humor. Oh, and most of them are Texans. Call one of them a gun nut and the response would be, well of course I am. Aren’t you or are you some kind of a communist?
A violation of the order would not be a crime, but rather a civil infraction. Police officers enforce criminal laws, so on this matter they would not be involved. I don't know who the governor expects to deal with it.
If people should be punished for carrying a gun, and also we should let someone walk free if he uses his gun for robbery or murder…you might be a Democrat.
They will change the venue for all court cases to DC.

This lawless overreach is a great example of what all the left would like to do. The ridiculous statements like this and her saying maybe they should arrest legal conceal carry people are the views of the left. We should consider this an unspoken, usually, endgame they have in mind when they ask for ‘common sense’ solutions.

Having lived in NM for two decades I can tell you that NM has a right to open carry in the state constitution and many of us exercised that right. try taking it away.
It was also the most corrupt state I ever lived in were votes were created to keep democrats in power.
That same disease has now infected by home state. Arizona. I got out just in time before all the Cauliphonyans showed up.
