President Trump is a squish on the 2nd Amendment.

That’s a concern. He has shown no regret or contrition about the bump stock ban and how he used the Deep State to enact more gun control.

His comments about red flag laws call into question his commitment to due process regarding such laws.

DeSantis clearly has the better record regarding the 2nd Amendment. But he’s a non-glitzy campaigner. And glitz and schtick mean a lot to voters.

He's well past non glitzy. He waffles, retracts, and is inauthentic. He promises things that as President are not in his bailiwick to deliver. He is a traditional politician beholden to Globalist/Big Business interests and pandering to hot button issue voters. TPP, Puerto Rican statehood, a real conservative.

He's a 90's-style New York liberal who embraced populism as his ticket to the White House.

I have zero doubt that if Nancy Pelosi was able to drop an Assault Weapon Ban on his desk, he'd have signed it.
