That content issue is the same on Amazon Fire, Google Chromecast, and Apple TV.
That may be, but, ROKU keeps sending texts about something new that they've added for user viewing. Chromecast doesn't do that. Amazon Fire may do that,but it's also junk. Apple TV has actual contents, but, people pay for that 'prime' service, just like NetFlix and Amazon Prime. ROKU doesn't offer any real content, other than very old stuff and stuff not worth watching. They should not be sending any junk texts. If people want to watch junk or something a bit more worthwhile, they can watch YouTube, which has a lot more free content and a lot better.

I have Roku and get no texts. You have to have not selected something to not get those. I have never heard of Roku texts, before now.
We use the Youtube Roku app. Again, it’s just another app of your choice for free content on any Roku.
