what cancers?
Skin cancers from more sunbathing?
More leukemia/lymphoma from cellphone?
More cancers from HIV/Aids affecting the immune system?
More cancer from obesity
Pill related cancer, and more breast and uterine cancer because women are not have so many kids (estrogen related cancers) and from HPV (virus for cervical cancer from promiscuity).
and don’t forget chemicals in the environment.
The study authors also saw an uptick in cancer-related deaths by 27.7% since 1990. Cancers of the breast, trachea, lung, bowel and stomach had some of the higher mortality rates.Cases of windpipe and prostate cancer have seen the largest increase since 1990, and breast cancer had the highest incidence rate of early-onset cases, the researchers found, while cases of early-onset liver cancer saw a decline.
Today we have a different demographic mix than in 1990, and the age brackets most affected are the younger ones. It wouldn't surprise me if the diet of many new immigrants tends to be more "western" than that of the existing population.
No doubt more pot smoking going on these days which might explain the cancers of the windpipe. Also more promiscuity and associated pathologies.
But I'll bet the biggie is obesity. IMO that's the health crisis of our times, and sadly it's un-PC to do anything about it or even talk about it seriously.
