People have always ate red meat, and people have always drunk alcohol.
If there actually is a cancer spike like that then the answer lies elsewhere.

I saw one chart claiming that the US per capita consumption of beef has dropped from 42.7 KGs per capita in 1976 to 25.9 KGs per capita in 2018. How does this explain the large increase in cancer? I wonder if the huge increase in close and prolonged exposure to electromagnetic pulses via computers, cell phones, and video games might be a more likely explanation.
