This is the astonishing moment a homeowner burst through his own front door to defend his family from a band of burglars.
The thieves have broken into 13 homes across New York City, stealing luxury cars and clothing in an operation that spanned three months.
The video was released as police continue the hunt for three men associated with the break-ins.
The men targeted neighborhoods across Brooklyn and Queens, including quiet cul-de-sacs in upscale parts of Whitestone and Bayside.
The New York Post reported the men stole vehicles including a Porsche, Mercedes and Range Rover in a span stretching from June through August.
According to police, the collective worked in bands of three or four while they targeted homes mostly in suburban Whitestone.
The most recent Crime toppers report, released September 3, pictured three masked men.
The group broke into the first house on June 2 near Point Crescent but were chased out by the homeowner before they could grab anything.
One victim spoke to CBS New York after the men attempted to rob her home later that month.
The woman said she and her husband woke to alerts from their Ring camera at 5am before her husband saw two men heading up the front steps.

Back in the day, when the NY mafia was strong, there were certain neighborhoods in the five boroughs where average street thugs dare not tread (Queens and Brooklyn, in particular; the Bronx was a pit even forty years ago).
Why?
Because you never knew if the home you were targeting was connected. They took care of “issues” in house and brought the pain all the way back to the perperator’s house.
Not defending the mafia, just an observation that a bigger, more ruthless force was a deterrent to crime.
Here in small city Florida three robberies in a short time in the same affluent neighborhood would probably end the burglars’ lives as they go for the fourth. After one robbery a few of the neighbors would be more alert and if they did not have alarm systems they would get them and would keep their armaments close to hand. After two they would all be ready for it.

It would but this is NYS where you are under the control of *you are not allowed to defend yourself* liberals.
The liberals have achieved their goal. We’re all supposed to be helpless little victims of criminals.
