You are right. The South of the Border crowd is well housed in nice hotels with room service, cell phones and health care. Paid for by us.
That Econolodge wasn’t too much to begin with — Mrs. BBB333 & I stayed there August 17, 2017 for 2 nights...It was mostly clean but incredibly spartan inside and the pool was permanently closed.
We did meet some very interesting folks from all over the world while watching the Total Solar Eclipse the day.
This situation is a pity for Casper.
