It’s the definition of insanity.
Not seeing much movement.
I think it is very ‘odd’ as well.
But, maybe not so odd.
Russians soldiers have been lied to alot!
Starting with the very reason for invasion AKA putin’s ‘special military operation’ and then forced by state-mandated conscription into military service. Being told specifically, would not be sent to Ukraine as well as receiving assurances they would receive a non-combat assignment. Little to none military training as well as receiving damaged defective or otherwise limited weapons...if any.
Once in Ukraine not finding justification military invasion of Ukraine as well as being rejected by civilian Ukrainian population. Abandoned by military leadership: no military supplies, lack of food and water, non-payment or leave, expect to be shot if retreating by their own military as well as lack of medical attention for wounded, etc, etc, etc. All this results in poor Russian military morale & urgent desire to escape or surrender.
Not seeing “much” movement = means movement!
And it’s not going Russia way.

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the five hundred fifty fifth day of the war.
Day 555: Sep 01
FIRST of all, more information became available about the Ukrainian strike on the Russian strategic airfield in Pskov. Last time, we confirmed the complete destruction of 2 aircraft and possible damage to 2 more, but further evaluation was complicated due to the cloudy weather.
However, today, it was reported that those 5 aircraft that were previously invisible highly likely received some damage as well, increasing the number of damaged aircraft from 4 to 9. And this makes sense because even Russian initial figures after the 2nd out of 3 waves of attacks claimed that only 4 aircraft were damaged.
But the biggest news is not about the inflicted damage but about how Ukrainians actually did it. As you remember, there were 3 theories: that Ukrainians launched their drones from Ukraine, of which Russian analysts were skeptical; that Ukrainians launched it through Belarus; and that Baltic states helped Ukraine to conduct this strike. As it turned out, none of these versions are correct.
Some Russian analysts also recalled how two weeks ago, Ukrainian saboteurs operating on the territory of the Russian Federation launched quadcopters from the nearby settlements and damaged 2 Russian strategic bombers Tu-22m3 on 2 different airfields. These analysts made a suggestion that maybe this drone strike was also launched from the Russian territory, but other analysts claimed that this was too crazy.
The sheer scale of the strike would suggest that Ukrainians established a large-scale production of assault drones inside Russia, created launch pads, and a complicated system of surveillance and coordination, which, as they concluded, would be simply impossible to hide from the Russian Federal Security Services. Unfortunately for Russians, this is exactly what happened.
Interestingly, right after the strike, the spokesman for Ukrainian Intelligence Yuriy Butusov released a video of one of the initial tests of a new type of drone that could be assembled from simple cardboard. He also claimed that they already used these drones in a small-scale attack on the Russian airfields in Kursk on 27 August and destroyed 4 fighter jets Su-30, and 1 jet Mig-29. Given that Ukrainians are literally using paper planes with explosives, they are very easy to create and assemble and very hard to detect by radars.
Judging by the video, the drones also explode above the target and cover a large area with shrapnel that is capable of penetrating fuselage, fuel tanks, badly damaging an entire aircraft¸ and easily causing a fire. Such a teaser obviously raised a lot of discussions inside the Russian media space and gave rise to speculations about the usage of these drones during the large-scale strike on Pskov.
Two days later, the Head of the Ukrainian Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov officially confirmed in an interview that the strike on Pskov was indeed launched from the territory of the Russian Federation. Simultaneously, Ukrainians released a video of the moment of the strike and destruction of one of the Russian strategic airlifters IL-76.
What this means is that Ukrainians did not just launch drones based on some information but based on real-time intelligence that they were receiving via a flying drone. That is why Ukrainians could dynamically correct the trajectories, ensuring a much higher success rate. The fact that this was organized and conducted 700 km from Ukraine, deep inside Russia, is simply mindboggling.
British Intelligence recently released a report about all known Ukrainian drone strikes on Crimea and Russia in 2023, and it turned out that in less than 240 days, Ukrainians conducted 190 known strikes. Once again, this does not include those conducted near the contact line, just Crimea and Russia. And as you can also notice from the map, the reach of these drone strikes is very impressive – a lot of bases in the Moscow and Tula regions suffered over these months.
And even if we just take the last month – August – based only on the confirmed destruction of Russian equipment from videos that happened on the territory of the Russian Federation, Ukrainians destroyed 1.2 billion dollars worth of equipment, which is a substantial proportion of the Russian annual military budget, and is incomparable to how little Ukrainians spent on cheap Chinese drones and lately paper planes with explosives for these strikes.

The infrared video is very interesting. It looks like real time guidance, which would be very difficult without someone close by.
I wonder however whether the attack drones were locally launched. The guidance could have been performed by a small team, taking local control of long distance drones.
That would avoid the risk of a much larger team and the difficulty of infiltrating so much equipment and people.

The Russian Ministry of Defence has alleged that a Ukrainian sea drone tried to attack the Crimean Bridge but was destroyed in the Black Sea.

QUOTE:
“At about 23:15 Moscow time on 1 September, the Kyiv regime attempted to launch a terrorist strike on the Crimean Bridge using a semi-submersible unmanned vessel.
A Ukrainian sea drone was promptly discovered and destroyed in the Black Sea.”
DETAILS:
The Crimean Bridge was temporarily closed to road traffic from 00:00 onwards.
“Anyone on the bridge and in the security check area, please remain calm and follow the instructions given by transport security staff,” the occupiers announced.
The Russians also claimed to have intercepted a Ukrainian drone over the territory of Russia’s Belgorod Oblast at about 23:00 on 1 September.
It was previously reported that the Russian occupiers have installed barges to the south of the Crimean Bridge to be used as barricades against Ukrainian sea drones.
BACKGROUND:
-Earlier, Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, stated that Ukraine has been working on its own missile programme and drones for a long time, so hitting targets on Russian territory even 1,500 km away is no longer a problem.
-Journalists also estimate that there have been over 190 drone attacks on the territory of Russia and temporarily occupied Crimea since the beginning of the year. The strikes on the night of 29-30 August in six regions of the Russian Federation are the most extensive in 2023.
-On the morning of 17 July, Sergey Aksyonov, the so-called head of Russian-occupied Crimea, reported that an emergency had occurred on the Crimean Bridge and that traffic on the bridge was suspended. Russian Telegram channels reported that a span of the bridge had collapsed.
-Ukrainska Pravda sources reported that the night attack on the Crimean Bridge was a special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Navy. It was noted that the bridge was attacked using un-crewed surface vessels. Later, the version about two drones was also voiced by the Russian propaganda outlet RIA Novosti, citing the National Anti-Terrorist Committee of the Russian Federation.
-Earlier, Russian media reported that the Crimean Bridge was guarded by fighter jets from the sky and divers and fighting dolphins underwater.

I thought the Lazamataz threads were long....
Never in the history of warfare have I seen a nation on the cusp of victory, yet continue to demand more money and military equipment to finalize that victory.
That’s all they advanced? We got ripped off.
I suggest you post a regular thread on the subject of Russian victories and Ukrainian losses. Nobody is stopping you.
Russia, 1944-45.
Ok, ok, the USSR. But Churchill always called them “the Russians”.
It’s because it’s all propaganda about their victories. The BS has become neck deep.
It would be interesting if you detailed grounds for denying these victories. Most are backed up by photo or video evidence, and/or Russian sources info.
Some are pure speculation and projection, so in those cases, fair cop.
Details are the brickwork of perspective.
